This morning I was forced to abandon ( escaped from ) my Creative Thimble duties to do some beekeeping. Dave (my trusty minion ), who experienced a near miraculous recovery from his work related injury, seemed to want to help.

While enthusiastic at first blush Dave seemed put off by the actual number of bees involved in beekeeping.

A lot of bees.

A lot of bees.

Dave elected to stay in the driveway while I completed inspecting the hives.

Dave, while little, is as plucky as can be. The same can be said for Laura (and the Mini-Professional Tote ). Laura has been up till all hours putting the final tweaks and polishes on the new Town and Country Backpack pattern.  After all these late night hours, Mr Laura made the mistake of commenting that the backpack she was using on the cover needed to be more colorful.  This resulted in Mr Laura receiving what can only be described as a DIRTY LOOK. But Laura, plucky as ever, whipped up a new backpack in stunning colors that I think she likes even better (whew, dodged a bullet there). Stay tuned, the new backpack cover and description will be published soon.

And remember, if you are attending Spring Quilt Market, we will be at Sample Spree table #44 and booth #149. (There is a chance Dave will be there).
