Lobster Co Square
Mr Laura is excited. Just in time for the hottest part of the summer the Quilt is all Quilted. The only thing left is the binding which apparently is very time consuming. My photography skills being what they are I am not sure you can make it out but the squares are stippled, the border is done with a feather pattern, and the lattice is a Celtic whorl pattern.

Mustaches
Also since it is the hottest day so far this year, what better time to put on a hot Beekeeper suit and inspect my hives before harvesting the honey. This hive below was in very poor shape at the beginning of the year. The queen was gone and the population was very very low. I moved the queen from the other hive over to this one and and let the healthy hive make a new queen from the new eggs. As you can see from the photo there are perhaps two Gazillion (gazillion is a technical beekeeping term that roughly translates in layman’s terms to “bees out the wazoo”) bees in and on this hive now. I will post later in the week and let you know how the honey harvesting goes tonight.

That is a LOT of Bees
