Professional Tote Kit Variations.

Back View
Laura’s latest kit version of the Professional Tote includes a variation on the handle that includes the Rectangle Rings (standard in the Mini-Professional Tote) and Purse Feet. The Rectangle Rings provide additional stylishness and the Purse Feet look great and should improve wear. The rings may also take some strain off of the top of the bag so it keeps it’s crisp appearance longer, (I am not sure about you ladies but I know Laura can pack two or three hundred pounds in hers). I have added the additional instruction to the FAQ Page under Directions and Additional Ideas at the bottom of the page. The kit itself is available for sale, Eclectic Elements Kit.
I bought the Professional Tote kit at a show awhile back. Have not constructed it yet as I am a bit confused. My kit has 1 large piece of fabric appx 1 1/2 yd and 7 ea half yard pieces. Not sure why. Can you help me?
Bonnie,
I am also confused as I don’t remember making a Professional Tote kit with so many fabrics. Are you sure it’s not a kit for Ursula and Emily pattern or a Hidden Treasure Tote? What show did you purchase it at and was it directly from me. Is there a way you can send me a picture of the fabrics or describe them to me. You can reply to me directly at Laura@thecreativethimble.com Thanks, Laura
This accent matches the lining of the bag as well as other details so they all tie in with each other. I also used rectangular rings to attach the handles, which adds a nice professional look and a bit of shine.
I bought the pattern for the professional tote at the Grand Rapids quilt show but did not buy the kit at that time. Are kits still available to buy on line? If so, what are the fabric choices and how much is a kit without the pattern.
